⌚ GREAT TOOLS FOR BETTER FOCUS AND PRODUCTIVITY. PLUS, THE TRUTH BEHIND TACOS.

Heya,

If you're looking for pint-sized fun, then the top link has some great JS games. They weigh less than 13KB and remain the best way to watch projects pile up in your task management tool.

Some good and bad news for Libra, the mystery of SQL, stopping queue jumpers with their face, and tacos.

Enjoy,

Chris.

📰 From the Newsroom

I admit defeat. Zero carbon business isn't possible, but could Carbon Synching be the answer?

We all have ideas about climate change and carbon, but Tom has been building his business for 12 years towards the zero carbon emission goal. But it's impossible.

If you've just started working on your carbon footprint, then this is another honest article that will help you avoid future frustration while also showing you the way around the wall.

Who needs PayPal, VISA, Mastercard, Stripe, eBay? They know nothing about buiding vast financial networks. 💸

The big financial services are leaving Fb's currency as governments say "Hol' up". Not quite like rats & ships because the ship is still in the dock with the captain making a map from random items he finds in the room.

There is some good news for Libra. Wired found that only 15 of the 27 unbiased Libra association members have strong links to Facebook.

Libra will soon pivot to an astrology service on Facebook but utilizing the blockchain. Because only the blockchain has the kind of cryptography that can keep psychics and other charlatans out.

All of the winners are on this list, but XX142-B2.EXE was the ultimate winner for a reason.

Finding the square root of your favorite maths prof: The Mathematics Genealogy Project traces mathematicians through their dissertation supervisors. ➕

This is pretty fun actually, with an old skool feel, and I traced some university professors back to a dude called Newton before I lost interest. Still, fun to be had particularly if you want to link yourself back to the great mathematicians.

How to stop the nefarious queue jumper at pubs and night clubs everywhere. 😲

As an Australian, I have an obligation to make a joke about British pubs using face recognition technology to maintain an orderly queue. I think 95% of British people will happily accept massive upheaval if it helps keep an orderly queue.

Of course, it does make turning people into ceramic pots does seem frivolous.

It feels like face detection went from the fringe, we should talk about it, stage to a weekend project for kids quite fast.
