Hey there, this is the craziest stuff we've seen over the last week.
So much crypto stuff that is difficult to resist 🤑 and a few articles that look at the neglected areas of CES. (weed and weird technology).
It has been a big week for Facebook, and we saw some cool things about their other approaches to meaningful connections. Plus a little look at their revenue (and how the quest for meaning will help their bottom line).
A lot of old-skool and pop culture stuff in this one: Stars Wars games and a pencil factory are here for the visuals.

The challenge of showcasing weed tech at CES
Cannabusiness is big, legit, business nowadays. According to some research, the industry has seen nearly $1.3 billion in equity funding since 2014. This includes more than $600 million in 2017. There is a lot of innovation happening in the technology but on the ground, the laws still hamper the marketing at trade shows.
What's the workaround? Gather in a small room, and then head out for pancakes.

50% of Women in STEM suffered from sexism at work.
The end of 2017 was notable for the vocalization of sexual harassment and misconduct suffered by women everywhere. I was freaked out by the number of #MeToo posts in my Facebook feed. Pew Social Trends lets us know that 50% of women in scientific, technological, engineering, and mathematical fields have suffered from sexism. If you believe in diversity and equality then you know this statistic is terrible.
